This very collectable Vintage piece is crafted in fine detail and hallmarked 9 carat gold nearly fifty-years-ago in Birmingham in 1971. 20mm x 12mm x 14mm tall. Keepsake will attach neatly onto a Bracelet with other Charms or is substantial enough to hang very nicely on its own as a Pendant on a Gold Chain. May have originated in ancient Greek and Roman times when ordinary people stored their belongings in wooden chests and coffers, whilst the wealthy owned more ornate beautifully made trunks and treasure chests. Nowadays Treasure Chests containing buried treasure are part of the popular beliefs surrounding sea-faring Pirates and Wild West outlaws.
